COME ABBINARE IL MARRONE

“Il marrone non è presente nello spettro solare, ma è costante in natura e molto diffuso nella nostra quoti- dianità. Il suo nome deriva da quello della castagna, marron in francese, e in effetti il frutto riassume la gamma completa di questo colore.

Nella sua accezione più positiva, il marrone trasmette l’impressione di stabilità, solidità, consistenza”. Così lo descrivono Silvia Botti e Massimo Caiazzo nel libro Abitare i Colori, edito da Vallardi. Ricco di gradazioni più o meno chiare, nell’universo dell’arredo così come nella moda, può dare vita a soluzioni interessanti.

Un colore che nel tempo ha avuto fasi altalenanti essendo stato non particolarmente amato, ma anche apprez- zato: marrone è stato il colore scelto da Leonardo da Vinci per la veste di Monna Lisa. Oggi, soprattutto nell’universo dell’interior design, se opportunamente inserito e composto, è sicuramente una buona scelta per donare calore e sicurezza.

Strettamente collegato all’universo naturale, alla corteccia degli alberi e, quindi, al legno se impiegato in maniera totalizzante può appesantire gli spazi, soprattutto quelli poco luminosi. Per alleggerirlo, renderlo meno scontato e per attualizzarlo è preferibile creare, all’interno degli ambienti, dei contrasti cromatici e abbinare il marrone a tinte fredde (per esempio: all’indaco, al blu balena, al verde smeraldo, al blu di Prussia o al verde salvia solo per citare le tinte più attuali).

Un colore che potremmo definire ‘classico’, ma anche accogliente e versatile che ben si presta a nuove interpretazioni e a creare inedite palette e schemi cromatici poco ordinari.
